Dr. Beverly A. Carroll

Legendary advocate Beverly Ann Carroll was the founding director of the U.S. Conference of Catholics. Dr. Carroll dedicated much of her time beginning in the late 1960's focused on the church. She worked for two decades in the Baltimore Archdiocese's Office of Urban Affairs. Dr. Carroll was decorated with the Archdiocese's Dr. Martin Luther King Award for Civil Rights.

Dr. Carroll led a delegation of African American Catholic women and international meetings for women in Johannesburg, South Africa. She also participated in conferences held in Nigeria to implement the U. S. Bishops' Document in the solidarity of Africa.
